Comments:

I graduated in 1987 from Illinois State University. I landed a job in the Quad Cities after college and have been in various capacities of outside industrial sales ever since with an office in my home. I don't think I could ever go back to working in an office at a desk job.

I met Pam when we both worked at the Marthens Company, and we got married after two years knowing each other as friends. She is absolutely my best friend to this day.

This past Summer has been completely crazy--I'm not sure if there really was a Summer of 2008. My daughter (Aubree) graduated from Northern Illinois University in May, got married in June and she and her husband moved to Florida in July.

My son (Clayton) is involved in cross country and basketball at Wilson Jr. High and keeps us busy for sure.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

School Story:

Man, there are so many good memories--I feel blessed to have had so many good friends at MHS--I still keep in touch with many of those friends.

Some events that stick in my mind at this moment:
--Senior Skip Day at Loud Thunder (Lake George). Having canoe wars with half of them tipped over by the end of the day and Mark Moorhouse straddling a pontoon on a paddle boat hanging on for dear life. I don't think swimming was alowed was it Lynn??
--Going to Radar Road in Phil's van with about 18 people piled in.
--Going to the drive in in Phil's van with 18 people hiding under seats, etc. and Phil saying he was the only customer at the ticket booth. I think we split the price of the ticket and spent about a nickel each.
--Cruising down 23rd Avenue about 89 times a weekend night in Dave Anderson's Catalina or "The Olive."
--Going to Dave Anderson's house to pick him up for school functions and raiding the refrigerator completely.
--Riding in Brian's Toyota Corolla pulling over cars with a 1 million candle power flashlight pretending we were cops.
--Several weekends Going to Gretchen's grandma and grandpa's house on the Rock River and floating lazily downstream with a ton of friends and a cooler in one of the tubes.

Now I have a confession to make---I never claimed to have any education in float building. Out of the couple of times that I went down to help with the float, someone asked if anyone could shape a bear head with chicken wire. I said--I'll give it a try. Well-----You can see the results--I am responsible for the pin head bear and, probably, the only time the seniors came in last place for the float contest at the game.

I almost forgot--I kind of remember having hair. Although, I didn't have much even at 18 years old. Hair is definitely overrated.
